New Orleans, Louisiana, is one of my favorite cities in the world.  The city is proudly known for jazz, Cajun food, and Saints football.

This question has been asked probably more than 100 times.  Why am I so passionate about New Orleans?

It started when New Orleans Saints visited Tokyo for its preseason game against Philadelphia Eagles in 1993.  I don't know why, but I somehow heard of the game and asked my father to take me to the game.  I was a 8th grader.  After a month of pre-game excitement, I finally passed the gate of Tokyo Dome and met the then My Team, New Orleans Saints.

I started playing football in 1995 when I entered high school.  I was, and still am, undersized as a football player.  But Sam Mills, a walk-on squad and later pro-football player, used-to-be a Saint, enlightened me as a undersized player.  He was just 5 ft 9 in (175cm), but an enthusiastic and aggressive linebacker.  I wanted to be a player like him.

After years passed, I had my first opportunity to visit New Orleans in 2003, two years before Hurricane Katrina gave severe damages to the city.  Jazz, Streetcars, the cuisine, and, of course, football.  Everything was perfect.

My love to New Orleans has never faltered.
